Yesterday, a former Research and Analysis Wing officer accused Deepika Padukone of receiving a sum of Rs. 5 crores to attend the protests at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Earlier this year, when there was widespread violence that happened inside the campus of the Jawaharlal Nehru University. In a symbol of support, Deepika Padukone visited the university and stood beside Aise Ghosh, the union president. Reacting to the statements of the RAW officer, Swara Bhasker said that it is a shocking claim and said that she did it for free. Now, Kangana Ranaut has hit back at Swara Bhasker for her statement.
Taking to Twitter, the official handle of Team Kangana Ranaut took a dig at Swara Bhasker by saying that she was doing PR activity for free while she learned that Deepika was doing the same for money. However, the twitter handle is not verified but is believed to be a reliable source.
Alleged Pakistani Link
The former intelligence officer alleged that he received two calls hours before Deepika visited the University. He further revealed that the call was from Karachi and Dubai. He also alleged that Deepika Padukone has connections with the intelligence unit of Pakistan and its agent Aneel Mussarat. The officer, NK Sood, said that Mussarat urged Deepika to attend the university and said she received a sum of Rs. 5 crores for it.
Swara Bhasker, who has been a vocal supporter of the student movement in the JNU, reacted to the statement by NK Sood saying that the claims are idiotic misinformation and is vulgar and outlandish. Deepika attended the protests during the promotions of her film Chappak which landed in trouble following her visit to the university. Deepika had earlier been involved in controversies during her film Padmavat for which she received death threats.
