BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi, requesting him to allow for a CBI inquiry into the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Prime Minister has also acknowledged the letter that was written to him.
Contents of the letter
In the later dated July 15th, Subramaniam Swamy alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is linked to several Bollywood big names who have connections with dons in Dubai. He said that these big names are involved in covering up the case by concluding that Sushant died by voluntary suicide.
Mr. Swamy also expressed concern that the Mumbai Police might struggle to conduct an impartial investigation as many bigwigs in the Maharashtra Government share the same view as the Bollywood big names.
Hence, Mr. Swamy requested PM Modi to advise the Chief Minister of Maharashtra to hand over the case to CBI. He also said that since Mumbai Police are already very busy with COVID-19 pandemic, they shouldn’t be strained with Sushant’s case. He concluded that with the PM’s request, the CM of Maharashtra will definitely agree to the proposition.
PM acknowledges the letter
Earlier today, Subramaniam Swamy announced that the PM had acknowledged his letter regarding the case. He even posted photographs of the same. Dated July 20th, PM Modi’s letter said: “I have received your letter of July 15, 2020“
Although Modiji has not specified anything regarding fulfillment of Subramaniam Swamy’s request, with his acknowledgment, we can be assured of a twist to this case in the coming days.
