Off late, the country has been submerged in crisis after another. Even as the country was coping with the novel coronavirus pandemic, the country has meddled in a border dispute with the Chinese military.
On 16th June, the two military forces in the Galwan valley was involved in the violent face-off that resulted in the casualty of 20 armed personnel. The Chinese side also incurred casualties but have not yet confirmed the official numbers. As per the United States source, the Chinese military lost 43 personnel. The faceoff comes in the wake of the de-escalation process that was going on between the two countries.
Actor Turned Politician, Paresh Rawal took to social media and provided advice for the young generation. He wrote,
“We should start calling actors as ‘entertainers’ and our Army & Police as ‘heroes’ for our next generation to know the actual meaning of real heroes.”

Tension Along the Border
This came after there have been several questions raised on the central government’s decision and policies pertaining to the Armed forces. There were questions raised on the Army too. As rage took over social media, the anger of losing personnel made people question the forces and the government. A war incurred on social media as people fought on whether to question the armed forces or not.
Currently, India has deployed heavy infantry along the 3,500-kilometre de-facto border it shares with China. Over the past month, there has been intense tension between China and India. While the latter continued to build fortifications along the LAC, India deployed more troops anticipating an attack.
Now it is learned that the defense ministry have given complete freedom to the Indian Army in order to give a befitting reply to the Chinese aggression. The meeting was reportedly attended by Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh, Army Chief General MM Naravane, and Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria. The sources confirm that the top military officers have been asked to monitor the Chinese activities along the border and to adopt a tough approach in dealing with any misadventure.
