For the second time in a week, the citizens of Bengaluru woke up to rains, although on Wednesday, the rain was accompanied by lightning and thunderstorm too.
Few areas water-logged because of the rains
The rains which started in the wee hours of the day lasted for a few hours, and considering they were heavy, a few low-lying areas of the city became the victims of water-logging.
A part of the sidewall of a storm drain in the Pattegarhpalya area of Bengaluru collapsed on Wednesday morning, following the overnight rain. The fire department, emergency services, and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officers reacted swiftly to the incident and later, it was revealed that no casualties were reported.
