After an on-flight dispute between two absolute opposite people Kunal Kamra and Arnab Goswami, Anurag Kashyap has stepped forward and shown his full support to the 30-year-old comedian. Various airlines had barred Kunal from using its services for a certain period, terming his actions onboard unacceptable. Following this incident Filmmaker has also decided not to fly with such airline especially IndiGo Airlines. He instead chose Vistara.
Anurag Kashyap shows full support
Anurag Kashyap stepped in to defend Kamra after the comedian was forbidden from four airlines which included IndiGo, Air India, GoAir and SpiceJet. Kamra was banned after a video of him allegedly confronting Republic TV journalist, Arnab Goswami, went viral on social media.
Kashyap said, “I am ready to wake up early at 4 am but I will not fly IndiGo.”
He tweeted about the same, “No @IndiGo6E .. on @airvistara .. in solidarity with @kunalkamra88.”

The decision to boycott IndiGo
The filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was in Kolkata for an event on Monday, while speaking on his decision to boycott IndiGo, he said, “I was scheduled by the organizers to fly with IndiGo. After Kamra was forbidden, I told them I will not fly IndiGo. I told them I will not fly this airline because I thought the prohibition was very stupid,” he said.
“There is nothing I can do about it. It does not make much of a difference. But as I wanted to register my objection, I thought that I would not fly IndiGo. I want to fly to Vistara,” he added.
“The IndiGo flight was on Monday afternoon and the Vistara flight was in the morning. They (the organizers) told (me) that to fly Vistara, you have to wake up at 4 am. I said, ‘I will wake up at 4 am, but I will not fly IndiGo’,” Kashyap explained.
Quite recently, Kunal Kamra also took a Vistara flight on Monday. In a tweet, Kamra posted a photo of himself posing in front of a Vistara counter at the airport and wrote,” My airport look all thanks to @airvistara following due process…”
