Twitter ‘Brutally’ Trolls Anurag Kashyap for his comments on Kantara and Pushpa

Anurag Kashyap is being brutally trolled for some comments he made in an interview. There are posts all over Twitter saying that the filmmaker thinks movies like ‘Kantara’ and ‘Pushpa’ are destroying the industry.

South destroying the Hindi film industry?

Bollywood’s Anurag Kashyap is one of the most creative and distinctive filmmakers of recent times. His films have a particular essence that is rarely seen in Hindi Cinemas. His iconic movie Gangs of Wasseypur marked a new era in Bollywood movies. Even after his efforts and disputes, the filmmaker has always spoken about what’s wrong with the industry and films. During a recent interview, he talked about how the trend of pan-India movies has pushed Bollywood toward destroying itself.

“The 50-year-old said that the new pan-India trend, the scenario is similar, everybody is trying to make a pan-India movie, but the total success will be only 5-10%. Films like Kantara and Pushpa encourage people to bring forward their own stories. But anyone trying to mimic a movie like KGF 2 and its huge success is headed toward disaster. Bollywood destroyed itself riding this bandwagon,” he said adding that filmmakers have to find films that give them courage.
