Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has informed his people for his next plans to change the face of the Bengaluru city. Under these plans, he looks to transform Bengaluru with some new ideas that consist of reviving water bodies to transforming the city into a film hub.
Changing the face of the city within 8 months
BS Yediyurappa attended an event celebrating Sir M Visvesvaraya’s birth anniversary held at Founders Day of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) on Sunday. He explained his vision to remodel the city within 8 months.
“I have a plan to change the face of Bengaluru within eight months. We will operate towards providing basic infrastructure facilities and about Rs 11,000 crore will go towards building roads, underpasses, and important corridors. The integration of NICE road with the planned Peripheral Ring Road will also be part of the new project,” said the Chief Minister.
Other plans
BSY also plans to revive water bodies in the city. He said, “We will strive to revive water bodies and will work with Israel companies on a solution to the garbage issue to make the city cleaner.”
Stressing on industrial growth in the city the CM said that the government is keen to make Bengaluru an industrial friendly as most of the state’s revenue (70%) comes from this sector.
He also gave a green signal for the sanction of Rs 5 crore for the Agro-Food Processing Summit, scheduled to be organized by FKCCI in Bengaluru within the next 8-12 years.
He also said that his government will transform Bengaluru into a film city which will be spread over 600 acres at Roerich estate, off Kanakpura road. The project is promised to be kicked off soon.
