1. Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood has done wonders for poor migrants in the times of COVID-19. From paying money to the bank accounts of poor migrants to arranging travel facilities for them, he has done everything like a true godfather.
Moreover, he opened his Juhu hotel to accommodate medical workers and providing meals to the underprivileged in Mumbai. The actor has stepped up efforts to help migrant workers living in Bhiwandi and delivered meals to 25,000 migrants.
Recently, Sonu Sood arranged a special charter flight to bring back stranded Indian students in Kyrgyzstan. Also, he helped 2 poors – one with a tractor and another with some money so that he can get his cow back; which was the only way to earn his daily bread.
2. Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan has come to the rescue of dancers. He has transferred money directly to the bank accounts of 100 background dancers.
Confirming the news, Raj Surani, coordinator for Bollywood dancers said, “Hrithik Roshan has aided 100 dancers in this difficult time. Several of them have travelled to their villages, while few are finding it difficult to pay rent and one dancer’s family has tested positive for Covid-19, Hrithik Roshan’s help to all of them has come at a very crucial time. Background dancers were overwhelmed with joy when they received SMSes stating that Hrithik Roshan had transferred money to their bank accounts. Dancers are extremely thankful to him for his support during COVID crisis”.
3. Varun Dhawan
Previously, Varun Dhawan had directly transferred cash into the bank accounts of 200 Bollywood dancers.
Raj Surani was quoted as saying, “Varun Dhawan has helped the needy dancers. He has worked with a lot of them in three dance films. He was very concerned about how the dancers are managing their livelihood.”
4. Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor also helped 40 background dancers who had worked with him. Shahid helped them by transferring money to their accounts for 2-3 months.
5. Sidharth Malhotra
Actor Sidharth Malhotra had also transferred money into the bank accounts of over 150 background dancers.
6. Salman Khan
Earlier, Salman Khan had donated Rs 3000 each to 25000 Bollywood’s special artists/daily wage workers who were most affected during the lockdown.
7. Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar had previously transferred funds into the accounts of 1500 daily wage workers.
