Wuhan Virus: Japanese Deputy Prime Minister calls WHO as ‘Chinese Health Organisation’

Joining the list of people who are heavily criticizing the World Health Organisation for an alleged conspiracy for helping China to cover-up their mismanagement in the COVID-19 outbreak, the Japanese Deputy Prime Minister referred to WHO as ‘Chinese Health Organisation’ in one his latest speeches.

As the number of coronaviruses infected cases crosses 10,000,000 around the world, the World Health Organisation is receiving more flack for their misinformation regarding the virus and allegedly covering up Chinese’s mismanagement. Until mid-January, the World Health Organisation continued to deny any sort of human to human transmission of the virus. Once it confirmed the transmission, it was already too late as the carriers of the virus had flown in and out of China. The World leaders are coming forward in criticizing the organization.

The latest to criticize the World Health Organisation is the Japanese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Taro Aso. Speaking in Parliament, Taro Aso referred to a petition that has demanded the resignation of the Director-General of the World Health Organisation – Doctor Tedros. In the speech, Taro Aso was seen calling the WHO has ‘Chinese Health Organisation’ alleging it to protect the political interests of China. The petition has garnered 600,000 signatures already.

Update from the World

As of 3rd April 2020, the number of confirmed cases is at 10,016,000. The world has seen over 53,000 lives being lost. 2,13,000 have been successfully recovered and discharged. The United States of America alone has over 2,45,000 confirmed cases as New York crossed the figures of the whole of China. The daily death numbers in Italy is seeing a decline while Spain is on the rise.

While India took 8 weeks to reach the first 1,000 cases, it has only taken 4 days to reach to the next thousand. The largest spike was witnessed in the state of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra as Kerala’s graph steadies. The death toll in India has crossed 50. The largest cluster discovered as of now is the Tablighi Jamaat Congregation that took place between March 13 and 15.
