Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan who has reinvented himself through the OTT platform is experimenting with his roles off late. Recently, the actor opened up about his next film Adipurush.
Post Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan has gone on an experiment with films like Laal Kaptaan and Tanhaji where he played a negative role. He also came to his comfort zone with Jawani Jaaneman. He currently has a comedy film Bhoot Police along with Arjun Kapoor lined up and Om Raut’s Adipurush where he plays Raavan. In his recent interview, he opened up about the film and his role.
“It’s interesting to play a demon king, fewer structures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as the revenge of what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose.”
Kriti Sanon To Play Sita?
Saif said that it would be interesting to play the demon king. He revealed that through the film they are trying to make Raavan humane.
Earlier there were reports that Kriti Sanon has been roped in to play the role of Sita. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and south superstar Prabhas. However, sources close to Kriti Sanon spoke about the development and said,
“After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity. It will mostly be shot in the studio against a chroma screen.”
