We Need To Save Film Industry From Terrorists: Kangana Targets Collective Indian Film Industry

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, in a series of tweets on Saturday, backed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s decision to make a film city in Uttar Pradesh. The actress, in her latest tweets, claimed that while people perceive the Hindi film industry to be at the top, it’s the Telugu film industry that has ascended to the top position.

“People’s perception that top film industry in India is Hindi film Industry is wrong. Telugu film industry has ascended itself to the top position and now catering films to pan India in multiple languages, many hindi films being shot in Ramoji Hydrabad,” wrote the actress.

In the following tweet, the actress applauded the announcement by the UP CM and said that we need many ‘reforms’ in the industry and added that there needs to be one collective industry called ‘Indian film industry’. The actress said this is the advantage that Hollywood has over many separate film industries in the country.

She further said that the best of dubbed regional films don’t get a pan-India release, but dubbed Hollywood films get mainstream release calling it ‘alarming’. “Reason is the atrocious quality of most Hindi films and their monopoly over theatre screens also media created aspirational imagine for Hollywood films,” said the actress.

The actress also listed eight kinds of ‘terrorists’ the Indian film industry needs to be saved from. “1) Nepotism terrorism 2) Drug Mafia terrorism 3) Sexism terrorism 4) religious and regional terrorism 5) Foreign films terrorism 6) Piracy terrorism 7) Labourer’s exploitation terrorism 8) Talent exploitation terrorism.”

Ever since Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut mentioned in one her tweets that about 99 per cent of people from the film industry consume drugs, it has created a furor among celebs and netizens alike.
