Kiccha Sudeep starrer Vikrant Rona gets itself eligible for Oscar nominations. This is the second Anup Bhandari directorial, after Rangitaranga, to be eligible for nomination.

A total of 301 films were included on the list of productions suitable for the 95th Academy Awards. The final nominations will be announced on January 24. Kannada blockbuster Kantara is on the reminder list of films eligible for the 95th Academy Awards. The list includes several Indian films, including another Kannada film Vikrant Rona starring Kichcha Sudeep.

Two Kannada films
Interestingly, the common factor of both Kannada films is that for the movies Ajaneesh Loknath worked as the Music Composer.
The list of 301 feature films considered eligible for nominations at the Oscars 2023 was released and it is a proud moment for South cinema. It is not just RRR that is making waves at the Oscars this year, but also The Kashmir Files, Gangubai Kathiawadi, All That Breathes, Last Film Show or Chhello Show (India’s official entry), Dhanush starrer The Gray Man, Tamil film Iravin Nizhal, and Marathi films Me Vasantrao and Tuzhyasathi Kahihi. Vikrant Rona, starring Kicha Sudeep and Neetha Ashok among others is also on the list.
