A massive protest erupted on Monday as people were seen demanding justice against the attack on New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University campus. The protest was led by big Bollywood personalities like Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar at Carter Road in Mumbai.
JNU Attack Protest
Various slogans, songs, and poetry recitals were raised during the demonstration at Carter Road in Mumbai. Various celebrities like Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu, Zoya Akhtar, Dia Mirza, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rahul Bose, Anubhav Sinha, Richa Chadha, Swanand Kirkire, Reema Kagti, Hansal Mehta, Sayani Gupta, Gauahar Khan, and Kunal Kamra were amongst the one in the demonstration.
A sharp word “Enough!” was displayed in some of the placards that operated up at the protest. Few play cards asked the people to “speak up for the unarmed”.

Not just play cards, students read poetry denouncing the recent occurrences of violence in the country while musicians picked up guitars and played melodious protest tunes.

Surprisingly one protest play card displayed ‘Free Kashmir’.
Was she a spoilsport in yesterday's protest at Gateway against JNU violence ?
Such questions arise when the actual protest gets sidetracked with such anti national forces. #JNUattack #JNUHiddenTruth #JNUViolence #GatewayOfIndia #AnuragKashyapISIS_Terrorist pic.twitter.com/lL46obAdEr— Jagan Patimeedi (@JAGANTRS) January 7, 2020
Anurag shows support
Anurag Kashyap said that he was there at the protest site to show his support towards the students and accused the government of the attacks on the JNU campus.
A phenomenal night at Mumbai’s Carter Rd. The directors (Kashyap, Bhardwaj, Sinha, Akhtar) calmly directed, the singers and poets sang and recited, the actors (Richa, Taapsee, Dia, Swara, Ali) chimed in, the audiences watched and participated. Truly a Bombay blockbuster. pic.twitter.com/Krx1t09SoQ

“I watched the protests which were going on here and decided to join the students. The government does not want to arrest the perpetrators because they are their people. The policemen did not enter JNU to stop the brutality but entered the Jamia Millia Islamia where they beat up the students,” Anurag Kashyap told.
The protest also saw students from different colleges who were shouting out slogans against the Central government and were displaying solidarity with the JNU students who got injured in Sunday’s violence.
