Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi is to play the lead role in a biopic based on the life of Karnataka’s former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. On asking about the same, the Congress leader confirmed the news.
Biopic Of Siddaramaiah
Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi is known as one of India’s most accomplished actors, and rightly so. His jaw-dropping performances in Vikram Vedha, Karuppan, Super Deluxe, Master, and Vikram have earned him the title of the invisible actor. It is now rumored that the 44-year-old will be starring in a biopic based on the life of Karnataka Congress leader Siddaramaiah.
There are a lot of biopic movies these days in the film industry. Be it a sportsman, politician, or businessman, film industries are often interested in the real-life stories of prominent people. Now, there is a buzz that some filmmakers are working behind the scenes to bring the biopic of former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has accomplished major success being a politician.
It is reported that a former minister of North Karnataka is preparing the stage for a Siddaramaiah biopic. And his team is getting ready to focus on Siddaramaiah’s film before the elections and it is known that they have also decided to sign famous Tamil actor Vijaya Sethupathi for the biopic.
According to Suvarna News, Vijay Sethupathi, who has given super hit movies in Tamil cinema, is already been approached to play the role of the Congress leader.
It is also reported that the film will have a budget somewhere around 50 crores and may hit the screens next year. However, an official announcement about the same is yet to be confirmed by the team.
Siddaramaiah responds
Meanwhile, the former Chief Minister was asked about the same and confirmed that he was approached by the makers. “I don’t know much but they had come to me to talk about the same from Kanakgiri. They just said that they are going to make a cinema.”
On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi is currently busy with his upcoming project DSP, which is directed by Ponram. The movie has Anukreethy Vas as the female lead, and the makers conducted a grand event to launch the trailer.
