Sushant Singh Is No More: This Dialog Exchange In The Climax Of Chhichore Can Never Be The Same Again

Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing away at the age of just 34 is a fact that is difficult to digest. It is reported that the actor committed suicide out of depression. He was a talented actor and had featured in multiple good movies. However, it is deeply ironic that his last movie Chhichhore, a blockbuster, talked about suicidal thoughts and depression.

The climax of Chhichhore

Leading to the climax of the movie, Sushant’s son in the film would have attempted suicide after failing to crack a competitive exam. And at the hospital, Sushant says to his son that they lost a very important basketball match during their college days.

His son, to this revelation, asks his dad: “Even after trying so hard, you guys lost? You must have felt like dying, right?” To this, Sushant says “No” and so does his group of friends.

Sushant’s character then says: “From that day onwards we weren’t losers anymore. Your result doesn’t decide whether you are a loser or not. What matters is how hard you tried and give it your best shot

The son’s realization

In one of the final shots of the movie, the son then realizes “In the past few days, I have learned a very important lesson. We’re so engrossed in winning, losing, success, and failure that we have forgotten how to live our lives. The most important thing in life is life itself.” It is unfortunate that Sushant had to undergo this himself, and was forced to take the drastic step.
