Bollywood actor and superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been the target of trolls on Twitter again. This came after Shah Rukh Khan celebrated Ganesha Chaturti and posted a selfie with his family.
In the black and white selfie posted on Twitter, he wrote,
“Prayers and visarjan done… This #GaneshChaturti, may lord Ganesha bestow upon you and your loved ones, blessings and happiness… Ganapati Bappa Morya!!”
However, it seems that there was more to the picture than just the celebration of the festival. The actor had photoshopped tilak on his forehead which has become the talking point on social media.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.

Criticism From Muslim Community
This isn’t the first time both the Khans have been targeted for celebrating Hindu festivals. Shah Rukh Khan was trolled last year for celebrating Diwali. This year, when he celebrated Ganesha Chaturti, he was trolled this time too.
@BeingSalmanKhan Aslamoalikum Ap ko deserve ni karta ganesh ki poja keun k ap muslim ho or ye shirk ha shirk karny waly ko Allah kabhi muaaf ni karyga

Better change your name from Shahrukh khan to Suresh Kumar.
Dont spoil the name of muslims by putting tilak on the occassion of Ganesh Visarjan.— Hyder (@hyder_farooqui) August 24, 2020
Previously when Shah Rukh Khan was trolled, people from his fraternity come to his support. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi wrote on Twitter and hit out against the Mulsim fundamentalist.
Appalled to read that @iamsrk Diwali greeting invites wrath of rabid Islamists, gets called a “False Muslim” for sporting a tilak!”FUNDOS get a life! Islam is not so weak that it stands threatened by what is a beautiful Indian custom.Indias beauty is in her GangaJamuni tehzeeb

Actress Swara Bhasker also took to Twitter and wrote,
“Muslim bigots trolling #ShahRukhKhan for celebrating #GaneshChaturti only goes to show that there are idiots and fundos among minorities as well. We can take comfort in knowing whatever are religious differences that we are all united by stupidity.”
