“Prayers and visarjan done… This #GaneshChaturti, may lord Ganesha bestow upon you and your loved ones, blessings and happiness… Ganapati Bappa Morya!!”

However, it seems that there was more to the picture than just the celebration of the festival. The actor had photoshopped tilak on his forehead which has become the talking point on social media.

Criticism From Muslim Community

This isn’t the first time both the Khans have been targeted for celebrating Hindu festivals. Shah Rukh Khan was trolled last year for celebrating Diwali. This year, when he celebrated Ganesha Chaturti, he was trolled this time too.

Previously when Shah Rukh Khan was trolled, people from his fraternity come to his support. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi wrote on Twitter and hit out against the Mulsim fundamentalist.

Actress Swara Bhasker also took to Twitter and wrote,

“Muslim bigots trolling #ShahRukhKhan for celebrating #GaneshChaturti only goes to show that there are idiots and fundos among minorities as well. We can take comfort in knowing whatever are religious differences that we are all united by stupidity.”
