Sarfaraz Ahmed Says Pakistan Will Try To Score More Than 500 Runs. Twitter Couldn’t Stop Laughing

Pakistan almost standing out of the tournament, their captain seems not to give up yet. The men in green need to beat Bangladesh by 311 runs in order to get into the last semi-final spot. In fact, if Bangladesh wins the toss and bats first, Pakistan hopes will be over before a single ball is bowled in the match. Sarfaraz Ahmed on Thursday promised that his team will do anything to make the impossible mission possible.

Pakistan captain’s Confidence

During a press conference here at Lord’s, Sarfaraz pledged that he and his team will do something that no other team has done in the tournament. “We will do our best to win the last game as well to end on a high and we will do our best to achieve that but we need to be realistic, but if Allah helps then miracles can happen,” he said.

In the current scenario Australia, India, and England have already qualified for Semi-finals. New Zealand is most likely to be the 4th team to qualify for Semifinals. Nevertheless, Pakistan still can qualify if they beat Bangladesh by a huge margin of 311 runs which factually looks impossible. However, Pakistan captain still believes his team has the ability.

“It’s a tough target but anything is possible. We will be really disappointed if we don’t play in the semis, I mean we made a great recovery by winning three matches in a row, but we are not losing hope,” he said.
