The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shreds a video on Thursday where speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi is been greeted by the Indian players at the ICC Academy ground.

Afridi, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury, is staying with the Pakistani team in Dubai because the management of the team wants to keep an eye on his rehab. The men in green hope that he would be fit for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia in October.

In the viral video released by the PCB, Shaheen can be seen speaking with Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul. The players asked Shaheen about his injury and offered their best wishes for the next competition. As usual, Pant was being funny, and the two were spotted laughing cheerfully.

This PCB video comes in after netizens shared a clip of Virat Kohli having a brief conversation with Babar Azam on Twitter on Wednesday.

With this small meet-up, not everyone felt equally cheerful about the way the players from the two sides of a border were interacting with each other. Considering the kind of conflicts and wars that have taken place between the two nuclear-armed countries, a lot of Indian fans were angered with the Men in Blue for “forgetting the sacrifices of the Indian army” and mingling with the opposition as if nothing was wrong.
