As per GS Srinivasa Reddy, an official from the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center, the rains in the city of Bengaluru will continue for over the next three days. On Thursday night alone, the city received an average of 14mm rainfall while some areas received over 60mm rainfall. GS Srinivasa Reddy said that the overcast conditions will stay throughout the day as the city might receive more rainfall.
The unusual rains in the season of summer are caused by the wind discontinuity from Vidharba to Tamil Nadu. The circulation over the Arabian Sea has also added to the cause. As per Reddy, several parts of the South interior parts of Karnataka and Malnad region are set to receive more rainfall in the next three-four days.
