From the beginning, the Kannada film industry has seen many extraordinary talents and still, it’s counting. There was no shortage of true talents in the Sandalwood. It has multi-talented personalities. The same person can act, direct, produce, compose and many. Today we are going to read about that sort of talent who is Ravi Chandran. Starting from his first movie to so far, he has given many extraordinary movies. He has a separate fan base in the industry. He is also very successful in the remake movies.

Halli Meshtru was by Mohan-Manju. The film starred Ravichandran and Bindiya in lead roles. The film is a remake of 1983 Tamil film Mundhanai Mudichu. India’s one of the popular hero-lyricist combination that is Ravichandran-Hamsalekha was the biggest strength of the movie. Each soundtrack pulled the audience to the theatres.
Annayya was released in 1993, directed by D. Rajendra Babu. This film stars Crazy Star Ravichandran, Madhoo, Aruna Irani, Srinath. The movie is a remake of 1987 Tamil movie Enga Chinna Rasa whose story was inspired by the Kannada novel Mallammana Pavada by B. Puttaswamayya. Ravichandran is an excellent artist who gives his cent percent. The hero character in the movie required innocence, humor, emotional and aggressive acting wherein Ravichandran has given equal justice and proved his talent.
Drishya hit the screen in 2014 which was a drama thriller film directed by P. Vasu starring V. Ravichandran and Navya Nair in the lead roles. It is the remake of the 2013 Malayalam film, Drishyam. The film was a blockbuster of the year as it thrilled the audience in such a way that they rushed to the theatres again and again. There’s no doubt about the audience sitting at the edge of the seat while watching this amazing movie.
Ramachaari was released in 1991 wherein the film was directed by D. Rajendra Babu and produced by N. Veeraswamy. It starred V. Ravichandran and Malashri in the lead roles. This is one of the evergreen movies of Kannada industry. It was the biggest musical hit. Ramachari film songs still have the place in the favorites list of many people. Innocent acting of Ravichandran will definitely bring the tears in one’s eyes.
Kanasugara is a 2001 romance-drama film starring V. Ravichandran, Prema, and Shashikumar in the lead roles. It was a remake of Tamil blockbuster film Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen. This movie gave a bunch of evergreen songs to the Kannada industry. Ravichandran-Mandya Ramesh combination made the film to entertain the audience throughout the movie.
7. Mane Devru
Mane Devru is a romantic drama film directed and enacted by V. Ravichandran along with Sudharani pairing together for the first time. The film was a remake of K. Bhagyaraj’s Tamil blockbuster film Mouna Geethangal (1981). This movie got a good response from the audience as it resembled the story of an Indian middle-class family. Ravichandran-Sudharani combination ensured to hold the audience throughout the movie.
Ranadheera was released in 1988. The film was a musical action film starring V. Ravichandran and Kushboo in the lead roles. Directed by Ravichandran himself, the film was produced by his father N. Veeraswamy under Eshwari Productions. This film will certainly stand in the tremendous movies list of Kannada industry. The story, Acting, Songs were pure gems. The biggest strength of the movie was its action. Ranadheera was a remake of Subash Gai’s 1983 Hindi film Hero.
9. Preethsod Thappa
Preethsod Thappa is a romance-drama musical film directed by V. Ravichandran and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Heroine Shilpa Shetty was the biggest attraction of the movie. This a remake of Telugu blockbuster film Ninne Pelladata (1996). The film entertained the whole Karnataka as it showed how a joint family lives and songs were also an adding point. The actors in the highest line such as Lokesh, Lakshmi, Prakash Rai were the part of the crew which made the movie to perform exceptionally well.
10. O Nanna Nalle
O Nanna Nalle is Kannada movie directed by V. Ravichandran and starring V. Ravichandran himself and Isha Koppikar. The film was a remake of Tamil film Thulladha Manamum Thullum (1999). The movie gave a platform to Isha Koppikar in the Kannada Industry. Matured acting of Ravichandran made him get a number of fans. This is one of the romantic-musical hit movies which was contributed by Ravichandran to Kannada film industry.
Ravichandran is clearly a multi-talented personality. He never made any compromises when it comes to his career and work. When a remaking movie fails to match with the local culture, it will hit the ground. But Ravichandran never made this mistake in re-adjusting the movie in Karnataka’s culture and society.
