The NCP leader and the Housing Minister of Maharashtra state, Jitendra Awhad lashed out at Amitabh Bachchan over his silence over increasing fuel prices. Earlier he had questioned the silence of Akshay Kumar.
In 2011, the Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted a joke which mocked at the increasing fuel rate back then during the UPA rule. With the current hike in prices, the NCP leader came across the old tweet and targeted the Bollywood legend over it. He wrote,
“Have you not refilled your fuel on a petrol pump or you don’t look at the bill. Its time for you to speak. I hope you are not biased. The price of diesel petrol has reached a peak.”
Yesterday, Awhad had picked up the old tweet of Akshay Kumar regarding the fuel hike and accused the actor of being biased. The Akshay Kumar tweet of 2011 read,
“Couldn’t even get to my house at night for all of Mumbai was queuing up for petrol before the prices rocketed again.”
Awhad replied to the tweet and wrote,
“Are you not active on Twitter…Have you stopped using cars..Don’t you read newspaper @akshaykumar..There has been a steep #PetrolDieselPriceHike just for your information.”
