Kishore, who impressed fans with his work in Kantara, has said that he is not a fan of films like KGF. Talking about the Yash starrer, he said he would prefer to watch something serious rather than a ‘mindless’ entertainer.
Kishore on KGF 2
KGF 2, starring Yash, went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022. The audience loved the larger-than-life mass-action movie, and the critics were raving over it as well. However, Kantara actor Kishore has a different opinion about the film.
In a recent interview with India Today, the actor said that KGF 2 is not his kind of cinema. For the unversed, both KGF 2 and Kantara were produced by Hombale Films, and Kishore shares a good rapport with the production house.
‘Mindless’ spectacle
Kishore says that he is not a fan of the KGF brand of storytelling. He prefers supporting small content-based films, which deal with serious issues, rather than such ‘mindless’ spectacles.
“I don’t know If is right or wrong but I haven’t watched KGF 2. It is not my type of cinema. It is a personal choice. I would rather watch a small film that is not successful but deals with something serious than something that is mindless,” he told India Today.
KGF 2 was helmed by Prashanth Neel and also starred Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, and Rao Ramesh, along with Yash. The film went on to collect over Rs. 1200 crore plus at the box office worldwide. On the other hand, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara also scored hugely at the box office. The film grossed a whopping 460.08 crores worldwide. The makers have announced that they are all set to make the sequel to the film.
