KGF Chapter 2 has crossed the Rs 550 crore mark at the box office worldwide. As per reports, it was the second-highest-grossing film in the world for the April 15-17 weekend.

Yash-starrer has collected Rs 132 crore on its fourth day of release. The film has now taken its total earnings across all language versions to a remarkable Rs 551.83 crore. As per trade analysts, this gross collection makes the film the second-highest-grossing film in the world over the recently concluded weekend. KGF 2 was only behind Fantastic Beasts 3 in that list and ahead of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted about the film’s success on Monday, stating that Comscore’s list of Global Top 10 Movies for the April 15th to 17th Weekend included KGF 2 at the second spot. Comscore is an American media analytics company that provides market data and analytics.
Fellow trade analyst Ramesh Bala provided a more detailed analysis of the same.

“According to Comscore, KGF: Chapter 2 debuts at No. 2 in the Global Box office the April 15th to 17th. It’s the first-weekend gross is a whopping $72.38 million [Rs 552 crore],” Bala tweeted.
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan said that KGF: Chapter 2 is the first-ever movie from Sandalwood to get into the global top 10 opening weekend and the only Indian movie to get into the global top 10 for the weekend April 15-17.

In another Tweet, he also said that KGF: Chapter 2 has excellent bookings across apps like BookMyShow with many sold-out shows throughout the weekends. Vijayabalan further noted that Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast does not have much buzz as of now.

KGF 2 is directed by Prashanth Neel and was released in theatres on April 14. Backed by Hombale Films and Vijay Kiragandur, the film has been released in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
