Keeping Political Rivalry Aside Karnataka CM Yediyurappa Visits Siddaramaiah In Hospital

Democracy is often judged in a distinct way as every political party in India seems to have different sets of perceptions. However, behind the scene, they all come under the same roof. Politicians often have much more complex personalities than party politics would have us believe. Political ideology sometimes has no barrier to rather surprising friendships, which says a lot about our politicians’ hidden characters. Karnataka Chief Minister is one example of this practice. BS Yediyurappa on Thursday visited to Congress leader Siddaramaiah who is admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru after he complained of chest pain on Thursday.

Keeping aside their political rivalry

The Congress leader and the former Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah is currently in hospital. The veteran was admitted to a hospital after he complained of chest pain on Thursday evening. Showing a morality gesture and keeping aside their political rivalry Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa had come to meet Siddaramaiah in the hospital to have an update on his health. He was accompanied by state ministers KS Eshwarappa and Basavaraja Bommai.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka shared the picture of their meeting on Tweeter where both are seen greeting each other in the pictures.

Siddaramaiah is alright and healthy

The 71-year-old tweeted, “Thanks to chief minister BSYediyurappa and Ministers KS Eshwarappa and BasavarajaBommai who came to inquire about my health. I am one who believes that political differences should not interfere with personal friendship. I am grateful to those who care about my health and are looking for a speedy recovery.”

He further asserted that he was healthy and there was no cause for worry, Siddaramaiah said he would rest in the hospital for two more days before returning home.

Siddaramaiah had previously resigned as the opposition leader in the Assembly on December 9 after his party faced a humiliating defeat in the December 5 Assembly by-elections. BJP had bagged 12 seats, and Congress had 2. JD(S) did not win a single seat.
