The rain struck all across the city

It was literally a Kumbhadrona rain in Laggere and Kurubarahalli junction. It was all water in the houses as the water level rose up to 20 feet against an 8 feet wall causing the death of two in the area. They got washed away as the water gushed and gained force.

Kurubarahalli junction observed the death of a priest (Vasudeva). The person was the main Archaka in Venkateshwara temple and Ganesha temple of Basaveshwara Nagar. It is also reported that a couple died on the spot (Shankarappa and Kamalamma) when a wall collapsed due to heavy rain.

The fire and emergency services have come for the rescue and announcements are being made on loudspeakers, not to step outside. Areas like Yeshwanthpur BMTC bus terminal, Shivananada circle, Chandra layout, and Nandini layout are also affected with the water level rising up to 4 feet submerging over vehicles.

It was literally a Black Friday for Bengaluru. We express our deep condolence to the families who have lost their dear ones in the disaster.
