SS Rajamouli’s RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, has won an Oscar for the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ in the Best Music (Original Song) category. Many celebrities and popular faces took to their social media to celebrate the big win.

Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi, who is also the father of actor Ram Charan, was quick to respond when the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film ‘RRR’ won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Shortly after the exciting news, Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to share his excitement.

He wrote, “#NaatuNaatu ON TOP OF THE WORLD !!! And THE OSCAR for the Best Original Song Goes To,” tagging the entire team of the movie.

Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and congratulate entire India. She wrote, “Congratulations to entire India??a movie about suppression, torture, killing, colonisation of Indians based on racial grounds gets appreciated on a world platform, number of Indians died just during one Bengal famine were way more than Jews died during holocaust. Thank team RRR.”

‘Naatu Naatu’ was up against songs like ‘Raise Me Up’ from Black Panther, ‘This Is A Life’ from Everything Everywhere All at Once, and ‘Applause’ from Tell It Like a Woman in the category for best original song.

Popular Film critic Anupama Chopra, who has always been supportive of SS Rajamouli’s films, earlier in the morning wished RRR song for the Oscars with a message. She wrote in a Tweet, “I am in tears already. Will have a full meltdown if #NaatuNaatu wins! #Oscar”

Meanwhile, after ‘Naatu Naatu’ grabbed the award, Anupama again Tweeted and wished the team.

RRR’s song has already won the Golden Globe and the Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Original Song. The song’s win at the Oscars has undoubtedly increased India’s pride.
