Hombale Films founders think Prashanth Neel’s Salaar will be bigger than KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara. Gives possible hints about upcoming new projects.
Salaar in 2023
With Hombale Films scoring two hits back-to-back (KGF 2 and Kantara), expectations are high for their next project – Salaar – starring Baahubali fame Prabhas.
In an interview with India Today, they claimed that their film ‘Salaar’, will be bigger than any of their previous projects.
Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, the founders of Hombale Films Productions, spoke broadly about their plans for 2023 and plans to get into the production of Hindi films.
Speaking about Prashanth Neel, who is currently busy with Salaar, the director is leaving no stone unturned to make Salaar a grand hit.
The producers say that they are confident that Prashanth will make it big. He will undoubtedly release a massive action film, something monstrous. Salaar is an upcoming Telugu thriller starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan.
Shooting for Salaar
When asked what is happening with Salaar, they said that shooting for Salaar will be done by January 2023, with close to 80% of the shoot completed. Only the climax remains, which will be completed in January. They also said that it will be more ambitious than any of their previous films.
They also revealed that at least 12 films are in the works for the next two years. “We have some big plans,” the filmmakers said.
Up next for Hombale Films is Dhoomam with Fahadh Faasil and have also planned to release Yuvaraj Kumar. Prashant has written Bagheera, which will be released towards the end of 2023. Tyson is here, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran. The writer needed at least a year to write for Tyson, so filming will begin in 2024.
