Yash 19 to be directed by Geetu?
Just a year after the success of KGF 2, Yash is back in the news after speculations surrounding his next project. The next Pan India film, referred to as Yash 19, is assumed to be backed by Yash himself. While the actor hasn’t announced the details yet, it has now come to light that critically acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas will be helming Yash 19.
A source close to the actor confirmed the development, and if everything goes according to plan, this will indeed be a compelling and exceptional collaboration.
Geetu, an actor-filmmaker best known for her roles in the National Award-winning film Liar’s Dice and the critically acclaimed Nivin Pauly-starrer Moothon, has already established a name for herself on the National and International circuits.

According to Pinkvilla’s most recent report, Yash is in talks with Malayalam director Geetu for an ‘offbeat’ project. According to the same report, The Rocking Star was amazed by the idea/story that Geetu Mohandas shared with him, and the two have been considering the prospects for nearly a year! Indeed, if everything falls into place (fingers crossed), Yash will undoubtedly surprise everyone with an impressive ‘unconventional’ choice.
Pinkvilla’s source adds that the K.G.F star and Geetu Mohandas are hoping to finalize things within the next 15 days, with an announcement coming within a month. It is unclear whether the film will be shot in Kannada or as a Kannada-Malayalam bilingual.
Also, the film is expected to be shot by award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker Rajeev Ravi, who is Geetu’s husband and has worked in both Liar’s Dice and Moothon.
