The reality
After examining the video we found out that the claims are not correct. While Advani did attend the screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’, the video that has been doing the circulating is from the time he watched the film ‘Shikara’.
‘Shikara’ is also a film based on the Kashmiri exodus of 1990 and was released in the year 2020. The film was directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Looking at the event, Chopra had then shared the now-viral video on his social media accounts and had shared how the senior leader was in tears after watching the film. Aadil Khan and Sadia Khateeb played a crucial role in Shikara.
In the meantime, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been performing well at the box office, despite a lack of support and very less screenings. The film is also going toe to toe with Prabhas-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’.
‘The Kashmir Files’, starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty among other stars, has collected Rs 40 crore within 5 days of its release. The revenue is only anticipated to surge as the film has been receiving positive reviews.
