Chetan Bhagat on The Kashmir FilesĀ
Taking a dig at the critics, the 47-year-old writer finds it hilarious that people who ‘keep asking for freedom of expression’ have trouble with The Kashmir Files.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “Funny how those who keep asking for freedom of expression have a problem with freedom of expression when it comes to #TheKashmirFiles (sic).”

Previously, he had also applauded The Kashmir Files and Vivek Agnihotri for bringing out the harsh reality to the public. On Twitter, he wrote, “A film that came like an orphan. Much like the Kashmiri Pandits it depicts, nobody cared! Intellectuals judged it and the people behind it. Yet, it soared and how. Salute and respect to @vivekagnihotri @AnupamPKher and the entire team of #KashmirFiles for being an inspiration to all! (sic).”

About The Kashmir Files
The Kashmir Files has beaten all records at the box office. It reportedly earned Rs 79.25 crore in six days, and would probably enter the Rs 100-crore club this weekend.
Despite going against the big releases like Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam and Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, the TKF hasn’t got affected as a huge crowd of people have come to the theatres to watch The Kashmir Files.
The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Bhasha Sumbali, and Chinmay Mandlekar, among others.
