Bollywood makes a whooping sum of Rs 700 crore with 5 super hit movies in a month. It’s an unusual thing for the Indian cinema industry; all five films released after Independence have clicked at the Box-office.

The 5 films that have gained a total of 700 crores are Mission Mangal, Batla House, Saaho, Chhichhore, and Dream Girl. Mission Mangal and Batla House came together on 15th August weekend and Saaho came after a couple of weeks. Later week, Chhichhore released and then soon after Dream Girl entered. These awesome movies helped Bollywood to carry a tag of triumph.

Akshay Kumar-starrer Mission Mangal, which saw women power in the form of Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, and Kirti Kulhari crossed over 200 crore mark.
John Abraham’s Batla House which was also released on Independence Day went almost close to 100 crore mark.
Saaho, which brought back the Bahhubali star Prabhas, saw a slowdown in the southern regions, though it managed to pull off 50 crores in North India.
Chhichhore, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor stands at Rs 144 cr and by the end of this week it could sum up with an impressive 150 crore mark.
The Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Dream Girl stood at an impressive 127 crore mark which is a massive achievement in the actor’s career.
Pal Dil Ke Paas and Prassthanam released on September 20 were a flop as it failed to impress the crowd. Both the movies didn’t even collect Rs 20 crore altogether.
