Does Bollywood have a superhero movie like Avengers? Well, Rohit Shetty has a relevant answer to this. The 46-year-old Director and Producer say that Indian movies don’t have enough budget to make superhero movies so they opted to cop the universe as an alternative. Making a big reveal, the Filmfare award winner is all set to bring together Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn for his upcoming movie Sooryavanshi.
Sooryavanshi to have an epic climax
Sooryavanshi, starred by Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is Rohit Shetty’s latest Cop movie. The action film will be produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under their banners of Rohit Shetty picturez and Dharma Productions. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and will be the most expensive cop film in the history of Indian Cinema. The most important and more impressive news is that Sooryavanshi’s climax will bring together Sooryavanshi lead actor Akshay Kumar, Singham star Ajay Devgn and Simmba star Ranveer Singh together.
“I can’t declare that I am making India’s superheroes. But we are shaping our universe and I am happy that people are enjoying it and they know about this universe. This is a beginning for Bollywood and everyone is delighted,” Rohit said.
First time in Bollywood
In May this year, Rohit Shetty began shooting for the film in Mumbai. After this, he and his team flew to Bangkok to shoot Akki’s introductory scene. Later, the team returned to Hyderabad to film the rest of the scenes. However, now it is reported that the crew is shooting the climax scene which is a 20-day schedule shoot which has already started from 2nd October.
“It will be a grand finale with Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi teaming up to fight a larger-than-life situation. Rohit and his writers have been working on the climax for months and have finally cracked a scenario which does justice to the three super cops,” reveals a source.
“When I started with Simmba when we were scripting for the film and we thought about the universe getting merged, I was a bit scared. Whether people will (like it)… Suddenly they should not feel ‘what is happening’,” Rohi said.
The film is set to release on 2020 March. Rohit Shetty will wrap up the shoot with a short plan in Goa and then shoot a romantic number with Akshay and Katrina. However, he also has plans to introduce a female cop in his cop universe.
