BJP’s Political Googly, Makes Eknath Shinde New Maharashtra Chief Minister

Shiv Sena rebel Eknath Shinde will be the next Maharashtra Chief Minister, the BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis said on Thursday. The former will take oath as chief minister of Maharashtra this evening at 7.30 pm.

BJP’s shock move

Addressing a joint press conference, Fadnavis said that he will not be a part of the Maharashtra government but will extend full support. The former Chief Minister made the announcement after meeting governor B S Koshyari at Raj Bhavan and staking a claim to form the government. The oath-taking ceremony of Eknath Shinde will take place at Raj Bhavan at 7:30 pm.

In a move that no one saw coming, the Bharatiya Janata Party has certainly thrown a googly at Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray and others. The decision has even left the netizens shocked.
