The weather department has given a yellow alert for Bengaluru, predicting that the city is expected to witness light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms on June 3-4.
Bengaluru to receive rainfall
As the monsoon is all set to hit parts of Karnataka by June 2, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a yellow alert for 10 districts of the state, including Bengaluru, said a report.
According to the sources, heavy rainfall is likely to lash Uttara Kannada, coastal districts, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Hassan, Shivamogga, Ramanagara, Kodagu, and Chikkamagaluru.

Also, the city may receive showers of up to 7 mm in the coming two or three days.
With the forecast, IMD wrote, “Southwest Monsoon has advanced over some more parts of the central Arabian Sea, some parts of Karnataka, the entire Kerala, some more parts of Tamil Nadu, entire southeast Bay of Bengal, some more parts of the southwest Bay of Bengal.”
