Increased Rainfall In Karanataka Predicted

The state of Karnataka which has been fighting drought situation for some time now will witness increased rainfall all through the week. The forecasts suggest that the onshore winds will bring moist air from the Arabian Sea leading to vigorous thundershower. Southern India’s inland areas are also expected to experience increased rainfall from Wednesday onwards due to moisture in winds caused by the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) report says that a weak off-shore trough has developed near the coast of Karnataka. This instability due to the relatively low-pressure area is likely to bring widespread rainfall accompanied by heavy to very heavy falls across the coastal areas of Karnataka in the upcoming 5 days.
