Man is getting more reliable on machines as they can be used in any situation or for any purposes. Robots are that kind of machines that are designed to look like humans and work like humans. The day is not far when we will see robots substituting humans in all aspects of our life.
Now, Bengaluru will soon have a restaurant that will have robots serving your ordered food. Named as ‘Robot Restaurant’ is the city’s first restaurant to have these humanoids serving your meal. It will be located on Indira Nagar’s high street 100 Feet Road and it will be able to accommodate up to 100 people.
Humanoid waiters
The restaurant will operate 6 such robots in which 5 will be carriers, and 1 will be an usher. Each table will have digital access to order their food and then the robots will serve you with your desired meal. Interestingly, these humanoids are also designed to sing and wish a birthday song for special events.
“Bengaluru already has a wide variety of culinary experiences and we are sure that the robots will be welcomed with open arms in Bengaluru.
“This city has been a goal for us at Robot Restaurants and it’s a happy and proud day for the team to see our dream come true,” Venkatesh Rajendran, founder Robot Restaurant.
Smart robots
The restaurant department also claims to have come to Bengaluru after their huge success in their home city Chennai and recently opened in Coimbatore. “The Android-usher robot will first greet diners, guide them to their table and in their subsequent visits will also greet them by their names, enabled with its built-in facial recognition technology. Each table will be equipped with a tablet from which diners can place their orders which the kitchen will receive directly,” he added.
The restaurant will have a mocktail and Indo-Asian menu. This place will be spread across 3,700 sq ft, a big space that will help the robots Rome freely. The place will have an additional 30 member staffs and chefs who have gone through training to attend to any issues that may arise in any field of operation.
