Bengaluru Police Joins TikTok To ‘Connect Better With The Youth’

To create awareness amongst the Bengaluru citizens, the city Police have joined the Chinese video-sharing application Tik Tok to connect greater with youth. It has opened an account on the short video-making platform to reach out to the people.

“TikTok is a very famous platform and it connects well with youth. We will put up awareness and information videos and also maintain humor content. Our Bengaluru police Twitter profile has gone viral too. The same way TikTok will help the police to reach out to various people,” DCP South East Bengaluru, Isha Pant said.

After quickly joining the Chinese video-sharing application, the Police started uploading videos and was successful to earn more than 25k followers.

To create awareness 

Earlier the city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao had met TikTok India representatives and heard the deputies from TikTok.

“Bangalore Police has always understood the power of social media, which always helps them to build a connection with citizens. We were one of the principal city police departments to come onto social media to create entertainment and informative content,” he said.

He also informed that TikTok has limitless potential to talk about social issues in short creative and engaging videos.

The first video shared by the police on its TikTok platform pushes citizens to obey traffic rules. Certainly, the second video shows DCP Isha Pant singing a Kannada song.
