The incident came to light from Mangaluru in Karnataka. The poster whose picture is in the tweet says that Hindus should buy items during festivals, fairs, and programs only from Hindu vendors and not from any other community as this will please the Gods.
The Hindu vendors have been asked to put a saffron banner in front of their shops to differentiate themselves from the others. There is also a sort of declaration in the banner that only Hindus are allowed here.
Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister V Sunil Kumar, has justified the display of banner announcing that Hindus alone are allowed to conduct trade there during the local annual fair but UT Khader, the member of the opposition party has expressed his disappointment against the same.
