Owaisi’s AIMIM Suggests Alliance With Shiv Sena-Led MVA, This Is How Shiv Sena Responded

Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM wants to set an alliance with Shiv Sena-led MVA, says three-wheeled ruling dispensation can become ‘comfortable car’. And, this is what Uddhav Thackeray’s led party said in response.

AIMIM with Shiv Sena?

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’s (AIMIM) Maharashtra has proposed a tie-up with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), an alliance between the Shiv Sena, Congress, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), to “keep away BJP from power”.

The developments come amid rumors of rifts among the members in the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance of Maharashtra.

Proposing an alliance with ruling Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress in Maharashtra, AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel has said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) can become a “comfortable car” from the three-wheeled autorickshaw which can stop the BJP from coming to power.

“We are willing to tie up with the MVA government so that we can keep the BJP away from power,” said Imtiaz Jaleel, AIMIM spokesperson.

Jaleel added that AIMIM’s objective is to ensure that votes do not get divided which will prove beneficial for the BJP. “It has happened in Goa as well where the votes got divided between different parts and as a result, BJP returned to power. There is no power left in Shiv Sena to defeat BJP single-handedly. We want all non-BJP parties to come together to fight the elections and keep the BJP out of power,” he said.

Response from Shiv Sena

Responding to the request, Shiv Sena leader and MLC Ambadas Danve stated that there is no question of uniting with a party that opposes singing of ‘Vande Mataram.’ It is the same party that ‘runs on the thinking of Razakars’, the paramilitary volunteer force formed in the cause of maintaining Muslim rule in Hyderabad and opposing integration into India during 1947-48.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut also responded by saying that his party can’t even imagine allying with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party.

“Imtiaz Jaleel is an MP of AIMIM. I keep meeting him, that doesn’t mean we’re associating with them. We cannot imagine allying with AIMIM. And, it is also brought to notice that there is a secret alliance between AIMIM & BJP, you must have seen in the UP polls,” Sanjay Raut said.
