After The Success Of “The Kashmir Files”, Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri Reveals His Next Movie

The Kashmir Files, which was released on March 11, showed the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the 1990s. After ruling the box office, the filmmaker has now revealed that he will soon be working on his next feature film, titled “The Delhi Files”.

The film based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the 1990s turned out to be a massive hit. The film’s emotional storyline and powerful dialogues left the audience and critics amazed. After ruling the box office, Vivek has now announced his next film.

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri on Thursday revealed that he will soon be working on his next feature film, titled “The Delhi Files”.

“I thank all the people who owned #TheKashmirFiles. For the last four years, we worked very hard with utmost honesty & sincerity. I may have spammed your TL but it’s important to make people aware of the GENOCIDE & injustice done to Kashmiri Hindus. It’s time for me to work on a new film (sic),” Vivek Agnihotri tweeted.

In the following tweet, he announced the name of his next project. He Tweeted, #TheDelhiFiles.

The Kashmir Files’ success 

The Kashmir Files, which was released on March 11, showed the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley in the 1990s. The movie had Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumar playing key roles.

Though the film was criticized politically, it performed quite well at the box office by collecting over Rs 330 crores.

Before “The Kashmir Files”, the filmmaker had directed “The Tashkent Files” based on the mysterious death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1966.
