Actress Payal Ghosh, who is known for Telugu movies such as Prayanam and Ooseravelli, has accused popular filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. The 30-year-old actress made the revelation while in an interview with a Telugu news channel, and later, also reiterated the same on her social media account.
Payal recounts the horrific tale
About her forgettable experience with Anurag, Payal said: “I went to meet him and the next day when he took me to the other room, he opened his zip and tried to force his c**k (penis) inside my vagina by opening my Salwar Kameez.
According to Payal, Anurag even said that all those actresses who worked with him such as Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, Mahi Gil are just a call away. In his words, Anurag apparently said: “Whenever I call them, they come running and suck my c**k ”.
She continued, saying: “The next day he called me again. He said he wanted to discuss something with me. I went to his place, he was drinking whiskey or scotch, whatever I don’t know. It was smelling very bad. It could easily have been charas or ganja, drugs I don’t know, I don’t have any idea about it but I am not stupid.” The alleged incident supposedly happened this day.
@anuragkashyap72 has forced himself on me and extremely badly. @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji, kindly take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. Pls help! https://t.co/1q6BYsZpyx

Payal calls for action
Payal Ghosh also tagged PM Narendra Modi and requested him to take strict action against the accused. She also said that her security could be at risk.
Meanwhile, National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma took note of the accusation and advised Payal to lodge a formal complaint. The actress confirmed that she would do it in the coming days.
Anurag has always been vocal about his opinions on woman empowerment in the country. He is yet to respond to the allegations so far. It is unlikely that he would do it, as it could have legal implications.
