The Hindi film superstar Saif Ali Khan had recently revealed that he is working on his autobiographical book which would likely be released in the year 2021. However, he seems to have changed his decision.
In a recent development, Saif Ali Khan said that he would be dropping the idea of writing his autobiography because of the fear of abuse he might face. Speaking in a podcast of a social media influencer Amanda Cerny, Saif stated that writing a book is hard work and also went onto say that a section of the audience in India might be negative to it. He said,
“Someone asked me to do a book, and I might chicken out, because it’s too much work to do it properly, and then you have to be very honest as well, which probably will disturb quite a few people. Honestly, I don’t know if I am prepared to put myself through the 100 percent abuse that’s going to come my way. I’m really sorry to say it, I’m going to say it, I don’t think the general audience – and not just general – but there will be a section of the audience that’s so negative in India that I don’t want to share my life and talk about things.”
‘Funny And Moving’
Earlier, Saif Ali Khan had announced that his autobiography which is untitled yet will be published by HarperCollins India. He had also revealed his intention of opening up with all his heart alongside a tinge of humor.
“So many things have changed and will be lost with time if we don’t record them. It would be nice to look back; to remember and to record. It has been funny and moving, and I must say, this is quite a selfish endeavor. I do hope others enjoy the book, too, of course.”
