Watch How Hrithik And Saif React After Vikram Vedha Director Praised PS-1

Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan were shocked when they saw Vikram Vedha’s director appreciating Tamil Film Ponniyin Selvan: I.

The press conference

Vikram Vedha was released in theatres today September 30. The Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan-starrer had generated quite a buzz ever since the makers had shared the trailer of the movie. There is the casting, the high-octane action, and the fact that it is a remake of a hit Tamil film from 2017.

Also, husband-wife director duo Pushkar and Gayathri, who helmed the original, have directed the Hindi remake as well. In an interaction with the media after the film was released, the directors spoke about the competition between Vikram Vedha and Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I.

Talking about the comparison with PS-1, Vikram Vedha’s co-director Pushkar lauded the Tamil film and asked the audience to watch it compulsorily. “PS1 is a classic text that talks about the Chola empire,” said Pushkar taking a gap, he said, “You can’t beat that!”

Watch both the Films?

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, who were sitting beside the duo directors, were totally confused. They were surprised to hear that their director is praising a rival film.

“PS-1 is a 6-volume book that I read a very long time back in Tamil. That Text has been an inspiration to every writer coming out of Chennai. So, (with the film) we did our part and they (PS-1 makers) did their part. Let’s see what happens. I hope people will go and watch both the films.”

Saif Ali Khan then interrupted and asked, “Watch both the Films?”

Even Hrithik took a dig at the director and said, “I have not read those books. So, for me, it’s only Vikram Vedha.”
