Underworld Ka Kabzaa stars Upendra and Kichcha Sudeep. The film was released on March 17. The project is led by two huge names – Upendra and Sudeep. The film also stars Shriya Saran and Murali Sharma and has been directed by R Chandru.
R Chandru’s Kabzaa dream
Despite receiving a poor response from the audience director R Chandru still believes his film is doing phenomenally well at the Box Office. The 43-year-old is in Cloud Nine and thinks his success has come after a long struggle.
In the latest interview, the Kabzaa director recalled how he was ridiculed by some Telugu Producers when he wished to do a Movie with Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun.
“When you want to do something big, hundreds of problems come your way. Even I was on the same path. Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini was a small Telugu movie I got a chance to work on. I had plans to do something Big there. But unfortunately being a Kannada director I was allotted a small budget to do this film. At first, it made me upset, but still, I worked hard and finally received an award as the best director for the movie. With just 3 crores I helmed a good movie,” said Filmmaker R Chandru.
A movie with Allu Arjun
After a short success with a Telugu film, R Chandru wanted to go all out and do a Big film with Allu Arjun. He said, “After making a small-budget film, I approached some Producers and told them ‘I wanted to do a film with Allu Arjun’. They neglected me when I told them the story and said ‘Oh you are a Kannada director’ in a witty tone. That day I realized I have to do something big one day.”
“I was totally sad when Kannada filmmakers were not respected outside. But this one team changed everything. The KGF Makers including Prashanth Neel, Yash, and Vijay Kirgandur changed everything for Kannada cinema. They brought a good name for the Industry, so I wanted to do the same.”

Meanwhile, Kabzaa saw a rather slow start on Day 1. Now, Day 2 early estimates are here and it suggests that the film has earned less than the opening day. As per a Sacnilk report, Kabzaa has managed to earn Rs 8 crore on Day 2. It earned Rs 10.35 crore on Day 1. The total amount now stands at Rs 18.35 crore. However, the actual figures are yet to arrive.
