Kantara OTT: With No ‘Varaha Roopam Song’, fans slam ‘Malayalam Music Group’ for creating a ‘Situation’

Kantara, a sensational flick from the Kannada industry, is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime. However, the makers have eliminated the ‘Varaha Roopam’ song from the film which has now disappointed many fans.

No ‘Varaha Roopam’ song on OTT

Kantara is currently available for streaming in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam on the OTT platform. The Rishab Shetty directional began its massive reign the moment it was released. Also, the film’s 50-day successful run in theaters came to an end. The song “Varaha Roopam” was the only problem surrounding the film. A petition opposing its exhibition was submitted, and the Kerala High court rejected it on Wednesday.

According to the petition, the Thaikkudam Bridge music group must grant permission for the song to be released on OTT platforms and theaters. A Kerala court ruled in favor of the band and banned any platform—including Amazon, YouTube, Spotify, and JioSaavn—from playing that song without the band’s approval. They claim that the creators of Kantara stole their Navarasam song in order to create the Varaaha Roopam song.

And now Kantara is available for streaming on Amazon Prime but it’s without the Varaha Roopam song. Several netizens took to Twitter to express their disappointment and some even slammed the Thaikkudam Bridge music group for creating a huge issue.

One user wrote, #KantaraOnPrime Watched the climax of #kantara again on #AmazonPrimeVideo. ‘Varaha Roopam’ is gone. Thanks @thaikudambridge your thirst for money and 15 minutes fame spoilt the spiritual bliss that the movie gave millions of people.
