Kannada action thriller Kantara joins the likes of RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, PS-1, and other successful South films of 2022 as it continues its impressive run at the box office. The action thriller which was released in multiple languages has already earned Rs 305 crores World Wide and has surprisingly done better than other South movies and Bollywood biggies like Thank God and Ram Setu.
While the film has struck an instant chord with the audience and scored 9.3 on IMDb, here’s how much Rishab Shetty and other cast members earned for their performance in the Kannada action thriller.
Kishore
Kannada actor Kishore, who is popular in the South film industry, took the role of Muralidhar, a Deputy Range Forest Officer in Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara. According to a Showbiz Galore report, the South actor took a paycheck of Rs 1 crore as his remuneration.
Achyuth Kumar
Another renowned name in the Kannada industry is Achyuth Kumar who is well known to have played a crucial role in the KGF franchise. The actor playing a vital role (of Devendra Suttooru) in Kantara, reportedly charged Rs 75 lakh for his performance in the action-thriller.
Sapthami Gowda
Kannada actress Sapthami Gowda, who began her acting career with the 2020 film Popcorn Monkey Tiger, reportedly charged Rs 1.25 crore for her role in Kantara.
Pramod Shetty
Kannada actor Pramod Shetty, who is known to be a close companion of Rishab, has added another blockbuster – Kantara to his list of hit films which includes Kirik Party, Ulidavaru Kandanthe, and Avane Srimannarayana among others. Shetty reportedly earned Rs 60 lakhs for his role of Sudhakara, in Kantara, reported Showbiz Galore.

Naveen D Padil
Actor Naveen D Padil, who is well known for his on-screen comical characters, plays a lawyer in the recently released action thriller. Padil charged Rs 25 lakh for his character in the Rishab Shetty directorial.

While Rishab was responsible for helming the much-talked-about project which is made on a modest budget of Rs 15 crore, the actor charged only Rs 4 crore for his performance.
