Surprisingly, the Telugu version’s opening day collections are equal to the combined gross of the Kannada version (2.5 crores) and Hindi version (1.3 crores) opening day which is mindblowing. The film started with more than 4 crores gross in Telugu states and with such a blockbuster kind of opening day, it recovered the breakeven amount on the first day itself.

Telugu state collection

In the Telugu states, the Telugu version of the film grossed around Rs 10 crore in two days, as per the box office tracking portal Andhra Box Office. Without any promotions, the Telugu version of Kantara has managed to pull large crowds into the theatres. The film was released alongside Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: I, and still managed to do well at the box office.

Meanwhile, the film also stars Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty among others. Apart from directing, Rishabh also played the lead character.
