The trailer of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ is out and Actor Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar for the sequel to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ has left netizens in dismay.

Makers of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ released the trailer of the sequel of the 2007 film and it stars actors are Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu, and others. The first part of the horror-comedy had actors Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, and others. The story of this sequel seems to have been changed totally but the basic nature of the story looks the same.

The trailer seems to be too heavy on Karthik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s characters and performances. Including the duo’s love story, the film will also mark the return of Manjulika after 15 years.

Horror-comedy

The trailer also had glimpses of Tabu in a mysterious role, though she is rarely seen in the 3-minute long trailer, it could mean that her character is kept disguised in order to make some big disclosure in the theatres, considering the story has a mystery angle to it. Actor Rajpal Yadav, who was also a part of the previous version, has picked up the same character and is ready to tickle your funny bones.

Overall, the trailer revealed that the film is less likely a horror movie and more of it is a comedy, and combining both is not a good sign for a film that promises to be a horror-comedy.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film has been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Anjum Khetani, Krishan Kumar, and Murad Khetani. The film is set to release in theatres on May 20.
