Akshay Kumar in his latest interaction with media praised Vivek Agnihotri’s film. The Kashmir Files did great at the box office and gave a tough competition to Akshay’s Bachchhan Paandey.
Akshay Kumar praises TKF
Released on March 11, The Kashmir Files has broken all box office records and is still going houseful even after 2 weeks straight. Speaking about the film, the Bollywood Khikad said that the Vivek Agnihotri directorial ruined his film Bachchhan Paandey.
Addressing a crowd in Bhopal, Akshay Kumar spoke about The Kashmir Files. The actor said that the film brought to the limelight a bitter truth.
“Making the film The Kashmir Files, Vivek has brought some painful truths of India into the limelight. The film came like a huge wave in the country that shook all of us. Wo aur baat hai ki meri picture ko bhi dooba diya (It’s a different thing that it has also ruined my film).”” ,” he said.
As The Kashmir Files crossed a box office collection of Rs 250 crore, Bachchhan Paandey, however, failed to make an impact and only grossed 50.25 crores.
“Reacting to the video, Vivek said, “Thanks to Akshay Kumar for your appreciation for #TheKashmirFiles.”

The Box Office competition
The Kashmir Files is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in 1990. The movie has seen an amazing rise in its box office collection since the movie was released and within two weeks, the Vivek Agnihotri directorial has already made its way into the Rs 200 crore collection.
Meanwhile, Bachchhan Paandey which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and director Farhad Samji, failed to make an impact at the Box Office. It is genuine that when there is such a rage among the audience about TKF, it is very impractical to expect them to turn to another movie immediately. That’s why the Akshay Kumar starrer flopped miserably at the box office. The film only collected 50.25 crores till now.
