Salman Khan is one of the biggest names in the Indian Film Industry. It is also said that Sallu calls the shots when it comes to various decisions in Bollywood. Hence, when the nepotism campaign was going around, Salman was criticized heavily.

The ‘Jai Ho’ controversy

A couple of years ago, Salman Khan and AR Rahman clashed on the ‘Jai Ho’ controversy. A film of Salman of the same name was about to release, and ARR said that he owned the copyright to the word ‘Jai Ho’ as it was the name of the track that won him the Oscars. Eventually, the film was released with the same name.

A couple of months ago, Rahman said that he was not working much in Bollywood because of a ‘gang of people’ that is working against him. Rumours started floating that ARR was referring to Sallu and his friends.

AR Rahman on working with Salman

AR Rahman and Salman Khan found themselves on the same stage some years ago. Salman Khan starts talking about ARR and says that he is an ‘average’ composer. He even turns around and asks if Rahman agreed with what he said.

Later, when AR Rahman gets the mike, he is asked as to when he will work with Salman Khan. The music composer said that he would work with Sallu but only on one condition. The condition is that Salman must make films that he likes. This statement became controversial before ARR clarified that it was a joke.
